Brooklyn Carlton won three events to lead Morristown to a Shelby County Girls Track and Field title while Brayden Wilkins won three individual titles and helped secure first-place points in the 400-meter relay to propel Triton Central to the boys team title Tuesday at Waldron.

Carlton won both hurdling events and the high jump to help the Yellow Jackets amass 80 team points and held off Triton Central (72 points) for the team title. Southwestern finished third (36) and Waldron was fourth (25).

Carlton crossed the finish line first in the 100-meter hurdles (17.75 seconds) and 300 hurdles (52.76) and won the high jump with a best clearance of four feet, eight inches.

Also winning events for Morristown were Audrey Vandyke (14:44.18 in 3,200), Kindall Dorsey (91-9 in discus) and Anna Osborne (13-11.25 in long jump). Morristown also win the 3,200 relay in 15:09 with Grace McLaughlin, Savannah Theobald, Vandyke and Osborne.

Triton Central won five events including two relay races. Individual winners were Vivian Blye in the 100 (13.06) and 200 (28.11) and Elaina Maurice in the 400 (1:08.37).

Blye ran with Allie Griffith, Farah Coen and Lydia Hough in winning the 400 relay (54.32). Maurice teamed with Mckenzie Bryant, Brynne Aukerman and Bella Ball to win the 1,600 relay (4:44.76).

Waldron’s Riley Price took first place in the 800 (2:43.87) and 1,600 (6:15.15) and her teammate, Brooklyn Milbourn, won the shot put title with a throw of 31-6.

Wilkins (photo), a Franklin College football recruit, captured first-place points for Triton Central in the 100 (11.13), 200 (23.02) and long jump (19-7.5). The senior ran with Zeke Robertson, Braden Brown and Cash Compton in winning the 400 relay (44.77).

That effort helped the Tigers rack up 93 points to capture the team title over Waldron (54), Morristown (47) and Southwestern (30).

Triton Central also got individual wins from Ethan Cales (16.49 in 110 hurdles), Zeke Robertson (43.1 in 300 hurdles), William Baugh (47-0.5 in shot put) and Ben Wilkins (128-9 in discus).

For Waldron, Will Larrison won the 800 in 2:14 and Lucas Shaw took first in the high jump (5-8). Larrison joined with Jared Crosby, Tad Crosby and Max Jones to win the 1,600 relay in 3:43.61.

Southwestern’s lone event win came from Jackson Bentz, who crossed the finish line first in 12:03.27.

Morristown’s Lakshdeep Singh won the 1,600 in 5:11.94 and teamed with Ryan Crisman, Parker Theobald and Hunter Biddle to win the 3,200 relay in 9:09.23.
