Emerson Lindsey and Emily Tyree won three-set matches at Milan Monday to secure the victory for the Mohawks and keep them unbeaten this season.
At No. 1 singles, Lindsey defeated Milan’s Alyssa Phelps, 2-6, 6-0, 6-3. Tyree topped Margot Keller at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.
Riley Thurston helped Waldron (7-0) with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles over Kayla Walker.
Waldron’s doubles pairings of Audrey Berauer and Riley Price (No.1 doubles) and Jackie Corlette and Kathrynn Ross (No. 2 doubles) lost in straight sets.

Franklin Central 13, Shelbyville 7
At Barnett Field in Shelbyville, the visiting Flashes scored five runs in the first inning and held off a comeback attempt by the Golden Bears (5-6).
Nate Schwark had two doubles and four RBI to lead Franklin Central (6-7). The junior also pitched two scoreless innings of relief in support of Dylan Pearson, who pitched four innings and earned the win.
Aiden Smith had three hits for Shelbyville, who scored seven runs combined in the fourth and fifth innings to cut the Flashes’ lead to 11-7.
South Decatur 14, Southwestern 0
At Southwestern, Devin Pate and Corey Nugent combined to limit the Spartans to five hits while striking out 12 in the shutout victory.
Nugent had four hits and three RBI while J.P. Scudder had two hits and four RBI to improve South Decatur to 5-3 (2-0 Mid-Hoosier Conference).
Ian Bunch had two hits for Southwestern (1-5, 1-3 MHC).
Waldron 7, Purdue Polytechnic 5
At Waldron, the host Mohawks fell behind 5-0 before rallying for their fifth win of the season. Troy Atwood, Jordan Bennett and Jacob Bennett each had two hits while Keith Settles drove in three runs.
Keagan Schneider got the start for Waldron (5-4) and pitched into the fourth inning before giving way to Jared Brooks, who pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win.
Triton Central 20, Morristown 0
At Morristown, three Triton Central pitchers limited the Yellow Jackets to three hits in a five-inning shutout win.
Hayden Beaver pitched the first two innings to get the win. Kellan Dishman and Weston Smith closed out the game.
Hayden May had two hits and drove in four runs for Class 2A, No. 5 Triton Central (10-1). Mathew Shircliff and Janssen Capps each had three hits.
Morristown dropped to 3-6 this season.
Boys golf
Heritage Christian 189, Cathedral 193, Triton Central 245
At Maple Creek Golf Course, Tate LaBrune shot 34 to earn the medalist honor and lead the Eagles to the team victory.
Chase Chandler was the only Triton Central golfer to shoot below 50. He finished at 42. Colten Ayres followed at 50 while Taggy Goul, Garrett Eberhardt and Cael Butler each shot 51.
Shelbyville 177, Rushville 204
At Antler Pointe, Jake Garrison led the Golden Bears with a 38 to earn the medalist honor.
Brock Wischmeyer carded a 45 – one shot ahead of Logan Tobian’s 46. Logan Reinhart shot 48 and DaMiles McDuffey followed at 52.
Softball
Triton Central 30, Morristown 1
At Morristown, the visiting Tigers scored 15 runs in the first inning and improved to 4-3 this season.
Lillian Fillippinie had three hits and seven RBI to lead Triton Central. Six more Tigers had two hits in the win.
Madi Peterson limited Morristown (2-4) to two hits and one unearned run.
Shelbyville 10, Greensburg 3
At Greensburg, Addie Stieneker had four hits, including two triples, and drove in three runs to lead the Golden Bears (9-4) to their seventh-straight win.
Kali Laycock had three hits and five more Golden Bears had two hits apiece in a 19-hit performance that pinned the first loss of the season on Class 3A, No. 9 Greensburg (9-1).
Cheyenne Eads collected the win pitching two innings and not allowing a hit while striking out five. Gracie Crafton had seven strikeouts over the final five innings.
Girls tennis
Triton Central 4, Batesville 1
At Triton Central, the host Tigers swept the singles matches. Maryrose Felling, Ellie Gast and Anniston Evans each won in straight sets to push Triton Central’s record to 5-3 this season.
TC’s fourth win came at No. 2 doubles where Neve Kahler and Estelle Gearlds defeated Kate Bauer and Grace Walter, 6-4, 7-6 (8).
Mt. Vernon 5, Shelbyville 0
At Shelbyville, the Golden Bears were swept in all five matches by 13th-ranked Mt. Vernon to suffer their first Hoosier Heritage Conference loss of the season.
At No. 2 singles, Mt. Vernon’s Ginni Morelli defeated Ava Muckerheide, 6-4, 7-5. The Shelbyville freshman is 4-3 for the Golden Bears (3-4, 1-1 HHC) this season.
Boys volleyball
New Palestine def. Shelbyville, 25-14, 25-21, 25-23
At Shelbyville, Corbin Deck had a team-high seven kills and 15 digs in the Golden Bears’ loss to the Dragons (9-10).
Nate Singzon collected a team-high 21 digs and Diego Hernandez finished with 15 assists and 12 digs.
The Golden Bears have lost three straight to fall to 5-10.
