Waldron tennis won two three-set matches which led to a 3-2 victory over Shelbyville Monday.
At No. 1 singles, Emerson Lindsey won the final two sets over Shelbyville’s Renee Aldridge for a 3-6, 6-4, 12-10 victory.
Riley Thurston was successful at No. 3 singles over Shelbyville’s Ella Connolly, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 10-4.
And the No. 2 doubles team of Jackie Corlette and Kathryn Ross defeated Shelbyville’s Faye-Lynn Voss and Reese Fortune, 6-4, 6-4.
Shelbyville got a No. 2 singles win from Ava Muckerheide over Emily Tyree, 6-2, 6-2.
Shelbyville’s No. 1 doubles team of Sydney Baker and Sophia Asher topped Audrey Berauer and Riley Price in three sets, 7-6 (5), 6-7 (5), 10-8.

Baseball
Triton Central 18, Indianapolis Ritter 1
Mathew Shircliff and Eli Sego each had three hits and combined to drive in five runs to lead Class 2A, No. 6 Triton Central to an Indiana Crossroads Conference victory.
Bryce Haney did not allow a hit and struck out seven for the Tigers (6-0, 4-0 ICC).
Waldron 5, Oldenburg Academy 0
Jacob Bennett and Jordan Bennett combined to pitch a no-hitter for the Mohawks (4-1). Jacob Bennett pitched the first five innings and had eight strikeouts. Jordan Bennett tossed the final two innings to seal the win.
J.D. Smith and Troy Atwood each had two hits for Waldron.
Knightstown 13, Shelbyville 11
A 6-run fifth inning propelled the host Panthers (4-1) to a win over the Golden Bears (4-3).
Brayden McDaniel, Braylon Johnson, Travis Louks and Brock Loveall each had two hits for the Chargers.
Dalton Jones blasted his first home run of the season and drove in two runs for Shelbyville. Luke Jackson also had two RBI.
North Decatur 7, Morristown 2
Kamdenn McKinney and Xander Jones combined to limit Morristown to three hits in the Mid-Hoosier Conference contest.
Tyler Dean had three hits to lead North Decatur (3-3, 2-0 MHC).
Morristown fell to 1-3 (0-2 MHC).
South Decatur 7, Southwestern 0
J.P. Scudder had three hits and drove in two runs and Devin Pate racked up 17 strikeouts in seven innings to improve South Decatur to 3-3 (1-0 MHC).
Southwestern dropped to 0-3 (0-1 MHC).
Boys golf
Shelbyville 163, Greensburg 170
At Greensburg Country Club, Colton Schroeder secured the medalist honor for the Pirates with a round of 37.
Jake Garrison led Shelbyville with a 39. Brock Wischmeyer and Logan Tobian each shot 40. Ethan Hughes followed at 43 and DaMiles McDuffey carded a 44.
New Palestine 179, Triton Central 188
At Hawk’s Tail Golf Course, Chase Chandler finished runner-up in the individual standings with a 42.
Max Ray shot 47 and Taggy Goul posted a 48. Garrett Eberhardt and Derreck Uhls each shot 51.
Softball
Shelbyville 7, Greenwood 5
Shelbyville scored the first five runs at Greenwood and held on for the victory.
Cheyenne Eads pitched the first two innings and did not allow a run before turning the pitching duties over to Sydney Brown and Gracie Crafton. Eads returned to the circle to get the final out of the game.
Hagerstown 18, Morristown 1
Hagerstown scored 12 runs in the second inning to pull away from the Yellow Jackets (0-2).
Hannah Pyle had four hits to lead the Tigers (4-1). Three different Hagerstown pitchers limited Morristown to three hits.
Girls tennis
Triton Central 5, Morristown 0
The Tigers lost just four games in the three singles matches and four games in the two doubles matches to sweep the Yellow Jackets.
At No. 1 singles, Maryrose Felling defeated Remi Spicklemire, 6-0, 6-1. Ellie Gast won at No. 2 singles over Bri Flores, 6-1, 6-1. And Anniston Evans topped Olivia Triak, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
At No. 1 doubles, Lauren Grant and Audrey Canter bested Katie Theobald and Addie Osborne, 6-1, 6-2. And Allison Howley and Kaylynn Washburn defeated Emma Waggoner and Jorgia Geise at No. 2 doubles, 6-0, 6-1.
Boys volleyball
Shelbyville def. Warren Central, 25-19, 25-17, 25-19
Jayion Grice had 13 kills to lead Shelbyville to its third-straight victory.
Corbin Deck had nine kills. Grice finished with a team-high 17 digs. Layne Pogue had 11 digs.
Shelbyville improved to 5-7 while Warren Central dropped to 2-5.
