SCARF unleashed their big announcement as they officially launched their Building a PAWSitive Future Capital Campaign this past Saturday morning in the REMAX/ONE (Green Space) in Downtown Sidney. The ceremony was full of smiling faces and wagging tales as it was announced that the Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation will be building a new animal shelter in Sidney, the Bob Sargeant & Family Shelby County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center.
The Pawsitive Future Campaign is already near 40 percent of its $2.4 million goal, thanks in large part to Bob Sargeant, Lawrence Piper, and several other substantial contributions. SCARF President Eric Barr, pictured above on the right, with Joe Laber pictured on the left, the SCARF board of trustees, and Shelby County Commissioner Julie Ehemann shared with the attending guest the reasons behind building the new shelter, and the plans for the new building.
Donations can be made to the Community Foundation of Shelby County and labeled for the SCARF Pawsitive Campaign, 100 S. Main Ave. #202, Sidney, OH 45365. For further information about donating, call 497-7800.
