Low cost pet vaccine and microchip clinic

Part of the mission of the Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation is community outreach. We want all pets in Shelby County to have loving homes and for them all to be healthy and loved. One way that we felt we could meet this part of our mission is to offer a Low Cost Pet Vaccine and Microchip Clinic. Previous Clinics have been very successful with the community, therefore, SCARF and the Shelby County Animal Shelter are excited to announce their next Low Cost Pet Vaccine and Microchip Clinic of 2015 will be held on Saturday September 19th from 9 am to Noon at the Shelby County Animal Shelter, 1100 Clem Road, Sidney. Dr. Woodward from Tri-County Veterinary Service will again be generously donating his time to administer the shots to both dogs and cats. The Shelby County Animal Shelter Staff will also be on hand offering Microchips for both dogs and cats. Dogs will be required to be on a leash and cats will need to be in a carrier the day of the clinic.

Space is limited so we are requiring all pet owners to register and pay for the vaccines and microchips in advance. We will not be able to accept walk-ins the day of the clinic. The registration form can be found on SCARF’s website (www.helpshelbycountyanimals.com), SCARF’s Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/helpshelbycountyanimals.com), the Shelby County Animal Shelter’s new website, www.shelbycountyanimalshelter.org, and the Shelby County Animal Shelter (1100 Clem Road, Sidney, OH). Interested pet owners may also email SCARF at helpshelbycountyanimals@gmail.com or call the Shelby County Animal Shelter at 937-498-7201 for more information on the clinic.

Registration will begin on Monday, August 3rd. This form must be returned to the Shelby County Animal Shelter, in person, at 1100 Clem Road, Sidney, along with payment no later than September 5th or until the clinic is fully booked. Mailed registrations will not be accepted. Space is limited so please register early. Checks should be made payable to SCARF.

Costs for the Shots will be as follows and payment is due at the time of registration:

Dogs: Rabies $9.00; Distemper / Parvo / Corona / Lepto Combo $10.00; Microchip $25

Cats: Feline 4 Way $7.00; Feline Leukemia $13.00; Rabies $9.00; Microchip $25.
