SIDNEY, OH | August 7, 2017 – The Lehman Catholic High School Alumni Association proudly inducted five new members to the Lehman Catholic Hall of Fame at the school’s eleventh annual Lehman Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held Saturday, Aug. 5.
Since beginning this tradition, the Hall of Fame committee has sought to honor not only alumni but outstanding faculty and supporters of Lehman Catholic. The Hall of Fame evening began with Mass concelebrated by Father Hess in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Chapel at Lehman Catholic High School, followed by cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and the induction ceremony in the Virgil Heitmeyer Gymnasium.
The five distinguished individuals inducted this year – John E. Ferman, Kenneth H. Schlater, Michael J. Hughes, Joyce E. Hughes and John M. Garmhausen.
“This evening has been filled with beautiful gifts not only for Lehman Catholic High School, but gifts that have impacted locally and internationally, noted Melissa Bennett, executive director. “There is no question that these five individuals have done something very beautiful for our God.”
The Hall of Fame Committee members who organized the event were Shelley Vanskiver, Laura Bertini and Angie Thornton. Vanskiver served as the MC for the evening.
The Lehman Alumni Association is dedicated to supporting the school by encouraging alumni of Lehman, Holy Angels High School, and Piqua Catholic High School to get involved through gifts of time, talent, or treasure. Lehman Catholic High School is the only state-chartered, Roman-Catholic comprehensive institution that provides secondary education for the students of Auglaize, Darke, Logan, Mercer and Shelby Counties in West Central Ohio.
